UAE is pumping more investments in Egypt: UAE’s Minister of Investment

CAIRO – 2 November 2023: The UAE’s Ministry of Investment headed a delegation to Egypt earlier this week to discuss investment opportunities in the country, to enhance bilateral relations and drive economic growth.

The UAE to pump more investments in Egypt across sectors including clean energy, mobility, food and agriculture, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure projects, real estate development, technology and more. This came during a meeting between UAE's Minister of Investment Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi and Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

The UAE delegation comprised of leaders from ADQ, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Mubadala Investment Company, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, AD Ports Group (AD Ports), and Al Dahra.

The UAE delegation met with Egyptian officials and industry leaders during the visit to expand the UAE’s investment footprint in Egypt across major sectors to promote economic development.

The UAE is one of Egypt’s largest foreign direct investors with more than 1,250 UAE companies currently operating in Egypt across different. The trade volume between both countries reached $4.6 billion in the first 11 months of 2022, growing 6.5 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
