CAIRO - 1 November 2023: Turkey's Tumosan Company is currently exploring the possibility of establishing a factory in Egypt to produce agricultural tractors, to cater to the local market as well as export to regional markets, according to a statement by Bulent Polat, a member of Tumosan's Executive Directors Committee.
This discussion took place during a meeting between Ahmed Samir, the Minister of Trade and Industry, and a delegation from Tumosan Company to explore investment opportunities in Egypt's market.
Samir highlighted Tumosan's key areas of focus, which encompass the manufacturing of agricultural tractors, textiles, sugar, waste management, electric generators, ship engines, and forklifts.
Polat emphasized Turkey's commitment to sharing and localizing advanced Turkish industrial technologies in various Islamic countries, with a particular emphasis on Egypt.
In a previous visit to Turkey, Samir expressed Egypt's objective to strengthen trade relations and boost the trade volume between the two countries to $15 billion within the next five years.
