CAIRO - 15 October 2023: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly paid a visit to the Port Said Governorate on Saturday, demonstrating the government's commitment to enhancing the industrial sector in line with Egypt's economic development plans. During his visit, the Prime Minister inspected a range of industrial projects aimed at deepening the sector and promoting local manufacturing.
Madbouly emphasized the government's objective of empowering the private sector across multiple industries to deepen domestic production and boost the country's export capabilities.
He referred to the current period as a "golden time" for taking advantage of the incentives, privileges, and tax exemptions offered by the Egyptian government to support and advance the industrial sector.
The South Port Said industrial zone, which the Prime Minister visited, is home to both newly-established and established factories. Additionally, numerous projects are underway to cater to various sectors, including urban development, real estate development, youth and sports, education, and telecommunications and information technology.
Prime Minister Madbouly reiterated the government's priority of attracting direct foreign investment to Egypt and fostering the growth of the export sector. This announcement was made earlier in the week, underscoring the government's commitment to creating a conducive environment for foreign businesses.
Prime Minister Madbouly also toured several companies located at Cairo's Smart Village on Thursday. During the visit, he highlighted Egypt's ambition to strengthen its outsourcing industry and IT services, emphasizing the country's potential as a hub for technological advancement and innovation.
The Prime Minister reflect the government's dedication to promoting industrial development, attracting foreign investment, and advancing Egypt's position in the global market.
