Non-banking financing reaches LE200B in Q2 of 2023: FRA

CAIRO - 26 September 2023: Entities subject to the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) granted financing amounting to about LE 200 billion during the second quarter of 2023, according to the performance indicators report issued by the FRA on Tuesday.
 
The financial market came at the top of the list, as the value of stock issuances during the second quarter amounted to about LE 97 billion.
 
Financing granted to medium, small and micro projects during the second quarter amounted to about LE 14 billion, while the financing balances for these projects amounted to about LE 45 billion.
 
The Financial leasing contracts amounted to about LE 23.5 billion in the second quarter of 2023, while the discounted notes amounted to about LE 11.4 billion.
 
The consumer financing amounted to about LE 10.4 billion, and the securitization and corporate bond issues amounted to about LE 10.4 billion.
 
Real estate financing activity came at the bottom of the list, as the volume of real estate financing granted by entities subject to the FRA reached about LE 2.1 billion.
