Sanofi Egypt celebrates its sixtieth year of being present in Egypt sustainably fulfilling its commitment driven by the global vision; chasing the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.
In Egypt, Sanofi was established in 1961 and today employs more than 1100 employees. Sanofi continues its sustainable investment and deepen its presence in Egypt by increasing its capital investment last year with a total of Euro 25 million- increasing the overall funds to reach a sum of 1.5 billion pounds.

“Sanofi’s commitment to Egypt's healthcare industry has yielded in serval directions. Over 77% of our products available are locally produced, adhering to the country's direction to boost its industrial footprint while providing access to medicines to Egyptian patients.
We're not just focused on providing innovative and affordable medicines for those in need, being in healthcare sector, it is crucial to contribute to improve the quality of life of Egyptian patients, by increasing access to innovative medicines, expanding access to healthcare with a focus on the underserved populations.
We're also glad to announce that we're in the process of localizing some of our most important vaccine & products by transferring technical manufacturing know-how, aiming to support the needs of patients as well as in reflection to the Egypt vision for 2030."
Raouf concluded his speech by expressing his gratitude to all stakeholders & partners who contributed to creating a suitable environment for advancing the healthcare system, the Ministry of Health in Egypt at the forefront, the Egyptian Unified Procurement, Supply, and Medical Technology Management Authority, the Egyptian Drug Authority, the General Authority for Health Care, and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones.

His Excellence Mr. Marc Barety French Ambassador in Egypt who visited Sanofi factory expressed his delight at witnessing the significant progress in the manufacturing process in Egypt.
His Excellency added that Sanofi, the French company in Egypt, has a rich history of achievements and important contributions that have had a significant impact on helping patients and contributing to the development of the healthcare system.
He highlighted that this reflects the ongoing bilateral cooperation between Egypt and France in various fields, including shared collaboration in the healthcare sector. It remains a top priority and a key area of focus for both countries, representing a successful model of partnership and investment between the two nations."
They also emphasized the role of the comprehensive healthcare insurance system and the mechanisms of integration between it and the Ministry of Health to enhance the medical services provided to Egyptian citizens in line with Egypt's Vision 2030.

In conclusion, Dr Christelle Saghbini, spoke and affirmed “Sanofi is committed to develop and launch first in class or best in class treatments that can transform the practice of medicine, in various therapeutical areas such as immunology, vaccines or rare diseases.“ She emphasized that “Sanofi is keen to continue bringing innovative treatments in the coming years as part of our commitment to Egyptian patients to develop access to care” She further stated that the journey of leveraging science to provide access to medicines to more patients is also allowed thanks to the long-lasting partnerships and close collaboration with the healthcare stakeholders.
Dr. Jeremy Goldenal, Head of the Manufacturing and Supply Chain General Medicine, Sanofi global
During his speech, Dr. Jeremy Goldenal, explained “Sanofi's manufacturing site in Egypt has maintained its development and modernization in its production facilities throughout the years to implement the latest GMP regulations, health, safety, and environment requirements. This investments in upgrading its facilities and introducing new machinery. which results in increasing production efficiency and & capacity, Last year was a landmark of our manufacturing facility, supplying 120 million packs to the Egyptian patients,. As part of commitment to our planet, one notable achievement in this regard was a reduction in electricity consumption by more than 35% in the production processes in last 5 years.

It is worth mentioning that Sanofi, through its long-standing presence of over half a century, unveiled its new brand and logo last year.
This represents a significant transformation and update in the company's history, reflecting Sanofi's ambition to embrace the rapid advancements in digital and modern technologies across all industries. The new logo embodies Sanofi's new direction, vision, and aspiration to stay at the forefront of these changes.
