MSMEDA partners with eAswaaq to develop Egypt’s digital service platform for SMEs

CAIRO - 18 June 2023: Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) signed an agreement on Sundaywith eAswaaq to manage, operate, and market Egypt's online services platform for SMEs.

The service platform will incorporate all authorities offering financial and technical assistance to SMEs including banks, non-profit organizations, and government bodies. The platform is set to be officially launched within the next 3 months.

The platform showcases and enables youth and entrepreneurs to stay updated with everything new in regards to financial or technical support, and compare various services offered by these entities.

Basil Rahmi, CEO of MSMEDA, confirmed that the SMEs platform is within the agency's plan to digitize services that support youth and anyone who wants to start new projects or expand their existing projects, and motivate youth to be self-employed and establish projects across various fields.

Recently, MSMEDA signed an agreement with the Saudi Grant Management Committee (SGMC) to finance industrial micro, small and medium enterprises at a value of 150 million EGP.

The agreement aims to finance MSMEs related to supporting supply chains, in addition to industrial projects in all Egyptian governorates by providing funds.
