The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Thursday trading – the first full week of June trading – on a positive note, as benchmark index EGX 30 raised by 1 percent to close at 17,521.36 points, and EGX 50 climbing by 0.48 percent to end at 3,208.36 points.
EGX 70 was up by 0.12 percent at 3,652.50 points, while EGX 100 rose by 0.30 percent the end trading at 5,333.34 points.
Today’s trading saw 983.14 million shares exchanged with a turnover of LE 2.37 billion.
Market capitalization was recorded at LE 1.13 trillion.
Trading on securities saw Egyptian investors as net buyers with LE 89.04 million. Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with LE 61.9 million and LE 27.13 million, respectively.
The top gains of the session were by Rakta Paper Manufacturing which climbed by 9.72 percent, Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals – SIDPEC by 8.51 percent, and Egyptians for Investment & Urban Development by 7.73 percent.
The largest losses of the session were by Medical Packaging Company which fell by 10.74 percent, El Ezz Porcelain (Gemma) by 7.12 percent, and United Arab Shipping by 5.17 percent.
