Sunday EGX trading closes on a positive note, adding LE2B to market cap.

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) kickstarted the week in the green, adding around LE 2 billion to the market cap.

Benchmark EGX 30 was up by 0.69 percent to 16,860.88 points, with EGX 50 also climbing 0.69 percent to end the session at 3,056.10 points.

EGX 70 jumped by 1.17 percent to close the session at 2,996.60 points, while EGX 100 rose 1.07 percent at 4,545.22 points.

Today’s trading session saw 535.85 million shares exchanged with a turnover of LE 1.21 billion.

Market capitalization hit LE 1.094 trillion, an additional approx. LE 2 billion compared to Thursday’s LE 1.092 trillion.

Trading on securities saw Egyptian investors as net buyers with LE 9.42 million. Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with LE 6.74 million and LE 2.67 million, respectively.

The top gains of the session were by North Cairo Mills which climbed by 15.45 percent, Medical Packaging Company by 12.72 percent, and the Arab Ceramic CO.- Ceramica Remas by 11.6 percent.

The largest losses were by EL Ezz Aldekhela Steel – Alexandria which dropped by 10.53 percent, Macro Group Pharmaceuticals -Macro Capital by 5.31 percent, and Ezz Steel by 3.58 percent.
