80 Swiss companies operate in Egypt: ambassador

CAIRO – 13 April 2023: Swiss Ambassador to Cairo Yvonne Baumann stated Thursday, at a meeting of the Egyptian-Swiss Business Association, that the number of Swiss companies operating in Egypt amounted to 80.

The association's chairman, Kamal Abdel Malek, noted that members are interested in investment opportunities in the fields of constructions, food industries, pharmaceuticals, tourism, textiles, and engineering industries among others.

Chairman of the General Authority of Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Hossam Heiba was also attending the meeting, stating that 80 percent of investors' problems would be resolved by June.
