On Monday 20th, BSH Appliances Group hosted a big event to celebrate the inauguration of their first ever factory in Africa. The ceremony was attended by several attendees including media figures and journalists. During the ceremony, BSH shared important insights and our team got to learn more about this groundbreaking project and how this new factory can contribute to the growth of the economy as well as create several job opportunities, directly and indirectly.
Rudolf Klötscher, Chief Sales and Service Officer and Member of the BSH Board of Management explained during the event that inaugurating such a mega project during the current global economic condition is a milestone that the German group is proud to have achieved.
On the other hand, Mr. Luis Alvarez, BSH EG Executive Board Member & CEO, who also attended the event, affirmed the company’s commitment to contribute to the growth and development of the Egyptian economy, given the promising investment opportunities that the country holds.
With 50 million euros worth of investment, the factory will mark the first of its kind in
Egypt and the African continent specializing in the manufacturing of Egyptian-made home cookers using German high-standard, innovative technology. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the newly inaugurated factory will be the 41st production facility of BSH. Spanning over 160,000 square meters, the factory will be located in the 10th of Ramadan. As announced during the event, the production is scheduled to commence at the end of 2024 and BSH aims to export half of the production line to various countries across the Middle East and Africa.
