Minister Tarek el-Molla during EGYPS 2023
CAIRO - 13 February 2023: Egypt has solutions and capabilities to secure part of Europe's gas needs, according to the Minister of Petroleum, Tarek el-Molla.
Molla referred to Egypt’s liquefaction plants that operate at full capacity and have regional consensus and reliable partners, working in cooperation with them.
The minister referred to the importance of the energy transition as a development goal, the importance of hosting Egypt at the COP 27 summit, and the importance of what it achieved; including a carbon emission reduction day within its activities.
He stressed that industry in all its forms is part of the solution, and indeed the industry was present and demonstrated its efforts to reduce emissions, according to a press release.
This came in a statement, Monday, during the strategic session (A New Beginning - the Race to Exploit Eastern Mediterranean Gas).
