CAIRO – 16 July 2017: Alexandria Mineral Oils Company’s (AMOC) profits surged 153 percent year-on-year to LE 1.1 billion ($61.2 million), after deducting taxes, in financial year 2016/2017 from LE 435 million, a Sunday’s statement read.
AMOC is an Egypt-based company that operates in the petroleum industry.
The unaudited financial results showed that sales hiked 119 percent to LE 9.6 billion compared to LE 437 million. Earnings per share (EPS) reached LE 1.14, up from LE 0.45.
The company’s profits jumped 205 percent in the nine months ending in March to reach LE 854 million, compared to LE 280 million in the same period the previous year.
The Egyptian Exchange-listed firm specializes in the production of essential mineral oils, paraffin wax and its derivatives, naphtha and butane. It markets its products in Egypt and abroad.
