Trends are born in the luxury market. Whether it’s couture, fine-dining or urtlatravel, the core essence of innovation lies in the upper markets of every industry; and automotive is no exception.

In addition to being exquisitely-designed and beautiful to drive, luxury cars are incubators for the latest technological innovations and advancements. Packed with the most refined features inside-out, from comfort, to performance, to entertainment and safety, luxury vehicles bring to driver and passengers that sense of having everything, right where they can reach it. Even better, luxury vehicles give drivers comforts that they didn’t know they needed and that they quickly learn to love and rely on.

Cadillac has a rich legacy of pioneering technology spanning 120 years – innovations that we now often take for granted. From the first electric starter motor to mass-produced V8 engines, magnetic ride control and the first connected vehicle, the brand has always been at its best when it’s innovating, beating expectations, and delivering the extroadinary.

When it comes to Electric Vehicles (EVs), the road to innovation is further accelerated. Already, they are bringing to life features that are set to transform our lives. This is largely down to the intuitive software systems that act as the nerve system of the automobiles, enabling them to be an extension of the driver and personalize the experience based on their preferences.

Connectivity and personalization is what is going to transform the EV and AV industry and cement luxury cars as the driving force of the future of mobility. Imagine a car that can read your mood and adjust the ambiance to suit it; can transport you from A to B seamlessly and avoiding congestion ; or reduce your risk of dangers to almost zero. That is a future made possible by Electric and Autonomous Vehicles.

When it comes to Cadillac, this reality is much closer than you think. In fact, as part of General Motors’ vision of a world with Zero Emissions, Zero Congestion and Zero Crashes, Cadillac will be in a position to offer a fully electric portfolio by the end of the decade. Combining the best of both worlds - the unique technologies with Cadillac standards and craftmanship – car ownership is set to be redefined for the modern driver. Just as we innovated more than a century ago, transforming human mobility from the horse and cart to the horseless carriage, Cadillac will define the future of luxury transportation and continue raising the benchmark we have set through technology and design.

Cadillac EVs are the first to be built on General Motor’s revolutionary Ultium battery platform, a groundbreaking technology because of the large-format, pouch-style cells that can be stacked vertically or horizontally inside the battery pack. This modular design allows for EVs for all shapes, sizes and performance. It also means no compromise - drivers can expect 0-100 km in as little as three seconds; over over 500 km of range on a full charge; as well as fast charging to give 122km of range in just 10 minutes of charging.

More practically, drivers can expect time saved at the petrol pump and, of course, serving our duty towards the environment.

Customers can look forward to Cadillac’s first-ever, all-electric vehicle on the roads in 2023 the Cadillac LYRIQ. LYRIQ offers drivers a feeling of balance, agility and satisfying performance powered by the Ultium battery platform. The LYRIQ is also equipped with a stunning features such as a 33-inch-diagonal advanced LED display with the ability to emit over one billion colors, as well as Cadillac’s next-generation Active Noise Cancellation system, to name just a few.

By being the first to pioneer new tech that eventually make its way into the mainstream, made possible thanks to the daring and innovation of the small few. Luxury EVs are the winning formula set to lead the automotive scene today and tomorrow, ushering in a  a new era of mobility.
