CAIRO - 25 August 2022: The Cabinet approved Thursday a draft decision of the President of the Republic regarding a financing agreement submitted by the Export-Import Bank of Korea and Credit Agricole - Korea to complete the financing of the project to supply 32 trains of mobile units for the third and fourth phases of the third line of the Greater Cairo Metro.
The cabinet also approved in its weekly meeting a draft presidential decree regarding the exchange of letters between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Government of the Kingdom of Spain, regarding a grant to finance a project to strengthen the capabilities of the Women’s Complaints Office, signed in Cairo earlier in 2022.
The agreement aims to support the Women's Complaints Office's strategy for sustainable rights, by strengthening the capabilities of the Women's Complaints Office staff in the field of women's rights, as well as enhancing services provided to complainants at the level of the Republic, as well as raising society's awareness of women's rights.
It also approved the request of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to reduce the announced minimum admission to Egyptian universities and higher institutes by 1 percent for students who obtained high school and Al-Azhar for the academic year 2021-2022, in North Sinai Governorate, provided that the student is a citizen of the governorate, and holds secondary and preparatory certificates from the governorate’s schools.
