CAIRO - 27 April 2022: The Egyptian government will start implementing the president's directives issued yesterday, according to an implementation plan, according to Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli.
 
He pointed out that these directives will contribute to pushing the private sector's participation in state-owned assets, to double the role of this sector in developing the economy, and to launch an initiative to support and localize national industries by strengthening the role of the private sector and expanding the base of large and medium industries.
 
Madbouli referred to the World Bank's report on price hikes in the coming period, stressing that the matter requires taking these estimates into consideration for the readiness for challenges, which contributes to success in facing this global crisis that affects all countries.
 
The Prime Minister indicated that yesterday, the new budget figures were presented in a meeting with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, where the President directed to continue working to achieve financial discipline for the public budget, while taking all measures that ensure maintaining the state’s financial and economic safe track in this regard, stressing that the government is working to implement these mandates.
 
He reviewed during the government meeting the witness of the start of the wheat harvest season, stressing the effective coordination between the relevant state agencies, to control all harvest procedures and supply wheat from farmers in the prescribed quantities, with the directive to pay their dues on a timely basis, assigning the governors to periodically follow up on those steps, according to a statement.
 
The Primer valued the continuous consultation between the political leadership in Egypt and the Arab leaders, referring to the recent visit of the Jordanian King Abdullah II and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates, to Cairo, which witnessed a session of talks with President Sisi to review global and regional developments, in light of the distinguished brotherly relations between the three countries.
 
For his part, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Acting Minister of Health, confirmed that the current period is witnessing the lowest number of visits to hospitals, the lowest number of injured, as well as the lowest number of deaths since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, which allowed the re-establishment of access to hospitals, opening all hospitals to carry out their work in providing medical services, implementing various presidential initiatives related to the health of citizens, as well as performing the necessary surgical interventions.
 
During the meeting, the Minister of Tourism presented a summary of the incoming tourism movement during the past two months, and the government's efforts to diversify the incoming tourist markets in light of the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
