Nasser Fadly, Area Director of Human Resources InterContinental Hotels Group Africa and Sultanate of Oman has been announced a member of India Middle East and Africa Diversity, Equity and Inclusion board.
IHG Diversity, Equity and Inclusion board was founded in 2018 and it was formed to guide, monitor and challenge Diversity, Equality & Inclusion activities and ensure IHG hotels all over the world are delivering their commitment to create a diverse culture in which every member can thrive. India Middle East and Africa DE&I is chaired by Haitham Mattar, Managing Director IHG IMEA.
Nasser has been part of the IHG family for over 36 years and in his current role oversees Human Resource operations in more than 30 hotels across several IHG brands in Africa and Sultanate of Oman. Nasser has founded a capable representation of diverse talents throughout the IHG hotels that he oversees, strengthened leadership accountability and capabilities for L&D and managed empowerment of female future leaders, moreover, he has given a great support to hiring calibers of determination to reinforce equality employment opportunity in the hotels that he is in charge of.
Speaking of his expertise, Nasser held several roles in Africa, and the Middle East, spanning daily operations, human resources and L&D efficiently leading his teams through many critical challenges. He was also named twice Human Resources Leader of the Year by the Egyptian Chamber of Human Resources for the years 2018 and 2019, in addition to scooping Best Employer award for InterContinental Cairo Citystars for three consecutive years. Thanks to his leadership and dedication InterContinental Hotels Group Egypt achieved Aon Global Best Employer Accreditation by Aon Hewitt for two consecutive years in 2017 and 2018. Moreover, Nasser played an integral role in IHG’s rise program for aspiring female leaders and general managers in IHG Citystars hotels.
On this new assignment Nasser commented that he is very proud and happy to be part of this excellent assembly and he added “a diverse work environment is better able to attract top talent; to improve guest orientation, employee satisfaction and decision-making process” He added “Over the years, we have learned that diverse teams have a wide range of ideas that help us understand and support our guests better. They also help us grow as an organization, and I will be focusing on providing inclusive leadership training to all colleagues and support our commitment to equal opportunities for both women and men in all levels and positions, including boards and committees.”
Nasser graduated from the Faculty of Tourism, and further obtained a hotel management diploma from Cornell University in Paris in 2001.
