CAIRO - 31 March 2022: Egypt's exports of leather and leather products jumped 47.2 percent in the past two months of 2022, registering $16.4 million, up from 11.1 million for the same period last year.
Head of the Leather Export Council of Egypt Mahmod Serg said in a statement on Thursday that the sector's exports witnessed some 40.3 percent increase in February to reach $6.5 million, against $4.6 million for the same month in 2021.
He added that APLF Leather Fair, held between March 30 and April 1 in Dubai, is a good opportunity for investors and exporters to contribute to increasing such exports.
