French Minister of Economy in Cairo to discuss repercussions of Ukraine-Russia war

CAIRO – 27 March 2022: French Minister of Economy, Finance and Recovery Bruno Le Maire has arrived in Cairo on Sunday for a two-day visit to discuss the bilateral relations and the repercussions of the Ukrainian-Russian war, said the French Ministry of Economy and Finance in a statement on March 25.

 

“This visit will be an opportunity to ensure the operational follow-up of bilateral economic cooperation already concluded as well as to strengthen the Franco-Egyptian industrial relationship in various projects,” the statement read.

 

During his visit on Monday, De Maire will meet with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, besides Egyptian economic ministers.
