Dollar exchange rate increased between 28-30 piasters against Egyptian pound

CAIRO - 22 March 2022: The exchange rate of the US dollar against the Egyptian pound increased in most of the banks between 28-30 piasters, after it was increased by LE 2.50 to LE 2.55, following a decision by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to increase the interest rate by 1 percent.

 

At the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr, the dollar rate increased to LE 18.43 for buying and LE 18.53 for selling against the previous price of trading, which hit LE 18.15 for buying and LE 18.25 for selling.

 

The dollar rate registered LE 18.45 for buying and LE 18.55 for selling at the Commercial International Bank (CIB).

 

The euro price, meanwhile, registered LE 20.20 for buying and LE 20.42 for selling at Banque Misr and the NBE.

 

At the CIB, the euro price was LE 20.22 for buying and LE 20.45 for selling.

 

Meanwhile, the pound sterling registered LE 24.18 for buying and LE 24.44 for selling at Banque Misr and the NBE.

 

The Saudi riyal price stood at LE 4.92 for buying and LE 4.93 for selling at Banque Misr and the NBE
