Digitization is main pillar to develop tax system - Finance min.

CAIRO - 10 March 2022: Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said digitization is the main pillar to develop the national tax system.

 

The minister made his remarks at an event held Thursday to mark the successful launch of the first and second phases of the unified automated tax procedures system in cooperation with IBM Corporation and its strategic partner SAP.

 

Digitization also contributes to stimulating investments, boosting economic growth and achieving fair competitiveness in local markets under the Egypt Vision 2030’s comprehensive and sustainable development strategy, the minister said.

 

Maait added that the adoption of digitization and such development efforts aims to raise living standards, provide better services for citizens and build fruitful positive partnerships to increase the contributions of the private sector to the economic activities.
