File - Minister of Electricity and Renewable energy Mohamed Shaker
CAIRO - 7 March 2022: Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker asserted that the power sector has adopted several measures to capitalize on big potentials of renewable energy nationwide.
This vital sector is very interested in following many mechanisms to promote the participation of the Private Sector in different projects it is carrying out, topped by the new and renewable energy ventures, added Shaker in statements Monday.
Shaker said his ministry is now contracting with a number of investors to implement solar energy and wind power projects.
The minister was meeting with the representative of Alcazar Energy company Daniel Calderon to probe ways of boosting bilateral cooperation.
The Egyptian official talked about achievements of the electricity sector, which is paying a greater attention to the expand uses of renewable energy, taking into account the environment dimension.
Calderon, for his part, commended reforms made by Egypt in general and the accomplishments of the electricity sector in particular.
He said he is looking forward to upping the volume of cooperation with Egypt in different fields.
