CAIRO – 12 July 2017: A Polish vehicle spare parts manufacturing firm will establish its first factory in the Middle East in Egypt, a delegation of Polish investors told Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr Wednesday.

This came during a meeting between Nasr and the director of international economic relations at Poland-Pomeranian Special Economic Zone Marta Dargas and head of the Polish-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry Philip Mibenge.

Nasr reviewed the latest economic reform measures taken by the government to attract foreign investors, calling on Polish companies to boost their investments in Egypt.

There are 93 Polish companies working in Egypt, according to the statement.

The delegation started their four-day visit this week to review investment opportunities in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.

Last week, the Polish Chamber of Commerce Association and the Egyptian Commercial Office in Warsaw organized an economic cooperation conference to discuss boosting relations.

More than 100 Egyptian and Polish companies attended the conference.

The initial establishment of a joint commerce chamber will generate mutual trade exchange amounting to over $1 billion between both states.
