CAIRO – 15 February 2022: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday session in the green zone, adding around LE 6.37 billion to market capitalization, amid foreign purchases.
 
 
The benchmark EGX30 rose 1.40 percent, or 160.04 points, to end at 11,563.38 points.
 
 
The equally weighted index EGX 50 hiked 1.09 percent, or 21.27 points, to end at 1,976.69 points.
 
 
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 increased 1.18 percent, or 23.12 points, to close at 1,986.56 points, and the broader index EGX100 inched up 1.14 percent, or 33.68 points, to close at 2,994.32 points.
 
 
 
Market capitalization gained around LE 6.37 billion, recording LE 728.92 billion, compared to LE 722.55 billion in Monday’s session.
 
 
 
The trading volume reached 315.33 million shares, traded through 36,557 transactions, with a turnover of LE 744.46 million.
 
 
 
Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers at LE 19.92 million, and LE 2.73 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net buyers at LE 22.65 million.
 
 
 
Arab and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 12.05 million, and LE 12.02 million, respectively, while Egyptian individuals were net buyers at LE 21.73 million. 
 
 
Arab  and foreign organizations bought at LE 9.32 million, and LE 34.67 million, respectively, while Egyptian organizations sold at LE 41.64 million.
 
 
 
Glaxo Smith Kline, Citadel Capital - Common Shares, and UEngineering Industries (ICON) were top gainers of the session at 8.40 percent, 7.86 percent and 7.02 percent, respectively.
 
 
 
Meanwhile, El Arabia Engineering Industries, Rakta Paper Manufacturing, and Rakta Paper Manufacturing were top losers of the session by 27.16 percent, 19.79 percent, and 9.64 percent, respectively.
