CAIRO - 30 January 2022: The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) decided Sunday to continue to support the “Hayah Karima” and “Capable Through Difference” presidential initiative with an amount of LE 500 million.
Head of the FRA, Mohamed Omran clarified in a statement that this value will be provided to the “Hayah Karima” initiatives to improve the standard of living and the quality of life for the most needy groups in rural communities at the level of the Republic and to raise the level of daily services provided to citizens, and the “Capable Through Difference” initiative to support and encourage people of determination and people with special abilities.
The statement said that this step comes within the framework of the authority’s board of directors’ belief in the necessity of aligning with the Egyptian state agencies to support its initiatives that seek to conduct urgent intervention to honor the Egyptian person, preserve his dignity and his right to a decent life, as is the case in the national “Hayah Karima” initiative.
The decision is an immediate response to support the executive procedures that will be implemented in the coming period and directed specifically to people of determination, which were previously announced at the end of last year during the “Capable Through Difference” Conference, including the formulation of training and employment programs for people of determination in various fields.
The Authority’s Board of Directors calls on all entities, companies and unions working in non-bank financial activities to participate in supporting the Egyptian state’s initiatives that seek to implement social interventions that improve the lives of citizens and implement projects to build the Egyptian person.
It also called on state institutions that have surpluses to follow the example of the FRA in order to mobilize all efforts by the various authorities to enable the state and help it carry out its increasing burdens.
Previously, in March 2020 and February 2021, the FRA provided support for the efforts made by the state to alleviate the burdens on the needy groups, which were economically affected more severely by the effects of the Coronavirus, with an amount of 500 million pounds, thus bringing the total contribution of the authority to support the efforts of the Egyptian state since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic to LE 1 billion.
