Eastern Company announces start of largest digital transformation project in Egypt

CAIRO - 25 January 2022: The Eastern Company announced its cooperation with the international company SAP to implement the ERP management system, which is considered the largest digital transformation project in Egypt.

 

According to a company statement, issued, Monday, the program aims to organize the resources and operations resulting from daily business, and to link the departments to each other, through one comprehensive system to raise the efficiency and performance of work within the system, in addition to linking all the company’s transactions, in line with the state’s plans in the digital transformation system. 

 

ERP is a comprehensive system for enterprise resource planning and management of day-to-day activities, such as supply chain, manufacturing, services, finance, and all other operations for the departments of accounting, procurement, project management, customer relationship management, planning, budgeting, risk management, and many other activities of the company.

 

The system can accurately predict and report on the financial safety and operations of the organization, and it is one of the programs that international companies rely on to develop the administrative and financial system, and improve project management and performance in general from its application to all departments of the company in October 2023.

 

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Company, Tamer Gadallah, said that the Egyptian state has made great strides in the field of digital transformation during the past period, and most of the transactions have shifted to digital systems to keep pace with the global development in this field, and therefore it is necessary for all Institutions and large companies the same trend.

 

He stressed that the Eastern Company's board of directors attaches great importance to the implementation of this giant project to reach the highest required goals and the best results in the company's various operations.

 

For his part, Hany Aman, CEO and Managing Director of the Eastern Company, stated that the company realizes the importance of relying on a digital administrative, financial and organizational system, as this provides accurate follow-up of all operations, saves time and effort and works to facilitate procedures, and thus increase the efficiency of the general operating system.
