CAIRO – 11 July 2017: The International Labor Organization’s (ILO) program, to develop work environment in 30 clothing companies, contributes to improving the business climate, Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr said Tuesday.

In a meeting with ILO director in Egypt Peter Van Rooij, Nasr checked on the latest developments of the program, which started at the beginning of July to end in December.

The ILO approved earlier this month a development program for Egypt’s clothing sector.

By this approval, Egypt joined seven participants benefiting from the program including Indonesia, Jordan and Bangladesh.

The program deals with a total number of 2 million workers in 1,500 factories, and it connects companies with 35 companies in the U.S., Europe and Japan.
