Egypt to host 2022 IsDB Group's annual meetings next June

RIYADH - 22 December 2021: Egypt will host the upcoming annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB Group) in June 2022.

 

The meetings are set to be held in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el Sheikh.

 

Meanwhile, the IsDB has approved allocating a sum of $1.6 billion to finance 24 new development projects in 19 member states in Africa, Asia, and Europe, Saudi Arabia’s state news agency SPA reported.

 

The projects shall cover a large number of development sectors, including roads, as well as renewable and clean energy, SPA added.

 

They also entail a package of other projects in the sectors of pourtly, fish, irrigation, agriculture, child nutrition, technical and academic education, in addition to vocational training, it noted.
