PM says govt seeking to settle automotive industry in Egypt

CAIRO - 1 December 2021: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said that the government pays big attention to settling the automotive industry in Egypt.

 

Cairo is in the process of launching an integrated automotive industry strategy that should be announced before the end of this year in line with directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Madbouli said in a meeting with chairmen of a number of auto companies Tuesday night.

 

This strategy is also meant to settle auto feeding industries and make best use of advanced technologies, the premier said, noting that this should help attract more investments to that important and vital sector.

 

The government will, under the yet-to-be-finalized strategy, offer a number of investment incentives, Madbouli told the chairmen of auto companies, adding that the goal is to turn Egypt into a regional and international hub of automotive industry.
