In a statement on Thursday, the FEC added that the mission comes in light of the Trade and Industry Ministry's strategy to boost trade exchanges between Egypt and various world countries, push up Egyptian exports and lure further foreign investments.

Food Africa expo is one of Africa's largest trade exhibitions specialized in food and agricultural industries, the FEC said.

It added that more than 400 international and local exhibitors from over 28 countries are taking part in the exhibition.

Food exports rose in the first nine months of 2021 by about 18 percent, hitting $3.1 billion, against $2.6 billion registered in the same period of 2020.
