CAIRO – 10 July 2017: The chamber of engineering industries at the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) includes more than 5,000 factories with around LE 100 billion ($5.6 billion) investments, the chamber’s chairman, Mohamed Al-Mohandes said Monday.
The chamber organized a conference with the cooperation of the European Union (EU) and the participation of delegations and companies from Poland, Italy and Czech Republic on the usages of the clean energy in the field of engineering industries.
FEI is currently awarding the local product certificate, which gives a preference to the national industries in governmental bids and purchases, the federation’s CEO Ahmed Kamal said.
Kamal added that the federation is working on promoting the business environment in Egypt, in addition to enhancing the quality of the Egyptian products through cooperation with the governmental entities in issuing laws and opening new markets.
