This has been made thanks to Egypt’s economic reform program that was launched in 2016 to improve macroeconomic indicators, as well as to achieve comprehensive and sustainable growth, Mashat added.
The minister made the remarks during her participation in a CEOs dialogue at the government summit held in Dubai, which is organized in partnership with the Atlantic Council, the Ministry of International Cooperation said in a statement Tuesday.
She reviewed the economic reform measures that have been implemented by the Egyptian State over the past seven years, which she said boosted economic growth and supported the national economy's ability to confront repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic.
As a result of those measures, Egypt was the only country in the Middle East and North Africa, and among few countries across the world to achieve positive growth in 2020, the minister noted.
