Mwasalat Misr, Super Jet invests LE200M in establishing transportation company in Administrative Capital

CAIRO – 11 November 2021: Mwasalat Misr and Super Jet have established a new company to manage the smart transportation system in the New Administrative Capital, with investments of LE 200 million, according to a statement from the Ministry of Transport.

The new company will provide public land transport services through the establishment, exploitation, operation and management of smart internal transport services within the new administrative capital.

The inauguration of the new company was witnessed by Minister of Transport, Kamel Al-Wazir, Head of the Super Jet Company Sabri Abdel-Latif, and Head of Mwasalat Misr Hisham Taha.

The establishment of the company comes within the framework of implementing the expansion of the use of smart, environment-friendly transportation that operates on electricity or gas, according to Transport Minister Kamel Al-Wazir.

"20 large gas-powered buses were purchased as a first stage, with a length of 12 meters and a capacity of 44 passengers, to complete the rest of the administrative capital's buses with electric buses, and that these buses are equipped with electronic devices that include passenger information systems and electronic collection systems,” the minister added.

The bus systems also include electronic follow-up and electronic rail systems and linking them to the central operations lines of the Administrative Capital COC in line with the intelligent transportation system.

The two companies are keen to provide a distinguished transportation service within the new administrative capital using the latest buses that run with electricity and gas and in line with the vision of the administrative capital to achieve the best performance measurement transactions for services provided to citizens, according to the ministerial statement.

Super Jet and Mowasalat Misr have extensive experience in the field of providing smart urban mass transportation services of a distinguished level, with their qualified cadres to plan, implement, follow up, manage and exploit mega projects.
