CAIRO – 9 July 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) saw a mixed performance at the end of Sunday’s session, while foreign traders tended to sell.
The benchmark index EGX 30 decreased 0.21 percent to close at 13,342 points.
Meanwhile, CIB, the heaviest weight on the gauge ended up 1.2 percent, to end at LE 82 ($0.05) per share.
On the hand, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 increased one percent to end at 681 points and the broader index EGX100 also added 0.54 percent to hit the level of 1,555 points at close.
Market capital gained LE 718 million, totaling LE 701,718 billion, up from LE 701 billion on Thursday.
The local and Arab investors were net buyers with a total of LE 18.5 million and LE 24 million, respectively, while foreign traders sold by LE 43 million.
Total turnover reached LE 683 million, down from LE 975 million on Thursday.
