In a statement, the center said it contacted the Finance Ministry, which described the delay reports as baseless. The ministry stressed that the ACI will be implemented as of October 1 without any postponement.

The cabinet called on media outlets and social media users to verify the authenticity of news they publish or share in order not to stir the public opinion, saying in case they want to report about any rumors or false information, citizens could send an e-mail to rumors@idsc.net.eg or via WhatsApp: (01155508688 -01155508851).
