CAIRO – 17 July 2021: Egypt was ranked among the top 10 competitive countries in the Middle East and North Africa, and 47th out of 108 countries globally in the field of business skills, according to Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC).
The IDSC, affiliated with Egypt’s Cabinet, monitored the improvement of Egypt’s ranking in the Global Skills Report issued by the Coursera Foundation in June 2021.
The report relies on classifying the competency of skills with a future impact, i.e. skills in business, technology and data science, into four categories: developed countries, competitive countries, emerging countries, and lagging countries.
Egypt came in the category of competitive countries in the fields of Business and Data Science, where it ranked 47th and 49th, respectively, while it ranked 61st in the emerging technology category.
