Egyptian economy on right track, positive signs of economic recovery: Minister of Planning
CAIRO - 8July 2017: Planning, Follow Up and Administrative Reform Minister Hala el Saed discussed with UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Representative Richard Dictus mechanisms of promoting cooperation between the UNDP and the ministry so as to implement cabinet's administrative reform plan.
The meeting was attended by UNDP Country Director Randa Aboul-Hosn and Assistant Foreign Minister and Director of International Cooperation for Development Ambassador Said Hindam.
The get-together took up fields of existing cooperation in the fields of raising efficiency of the governmental sector via using information technology and applying administrative reforms adopted by the cabinet, according to the ministry's statement.
The cooperation will enhance the cabinet's approach to create an efficient administrative body that is able to plan and manage state resources rationally so as to implement national programs and projects.
El Saed said that the ministry places as a priority ventures of developing state's administrative body for its positive impact on providing suitable atmosphere for the economic activities and offering good governmental services for citizens and firms.
For his part, the UN official voiced keenness on cooperating with the ministry in enhancing the projects that were discussed for its importance to the UNDP in Egypt.
He further expressed appreciation for kicking off "Sustainable development strategy .. Egypt's vision 2030", adding that it is unprecedented step on the African and Middle East levels
