CAIRO – 8 July 2017: Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr was awarded Saturday a gold medal at the Carns Montana Forum in Barcelona, to be among five figures worldwide granted that medal.

“Nasr was awarded because of her efforts to improvement development and investment in Egypt and her support to women and neediest categories for support,” founder of the forum Jean Paul said, according to a statement from the Ministry of Investment.

The award also came as Nasr was chosen in May to serve as a member at the United Nations Social Impact Fund High Level Advisory Board (UNSIF-HLAB) to be the first Egyptian and African woman on the board.

Nasr was said to have chosen for her advocacy efforts to unlock Egypt’s potential through private-sector-led growth, vision for new investment incentives and economic development zones, besides her ties with international partners including UNDP, as well as her efforts to explore new opportunities for cooperation.
