CAIRO - 17 June 2021: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli took part Thursday in the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Egypt and Iraq to boost bilateral cooperation in the communication and information technology (ICT) field.
In statements before the signing ceremony, Madbouli lauded ongoing Egyptian-Iraqi cooperation in the communication sphere, highlighting President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to the Egyptian government to exert utmost effort and offer required support to enhance cooperation with Iraqi brethren in this respect.
Minister of Communication and Information Technology Dr. Amr Talaat signed the agreement from the Egyptian side and Iraqi Minister of Communication Arkan Shihab Ahmed Kadhim signed for his country.
For his part, the Iraqi minister praised the great progress achieved in the ICT sector in Egypt, saying that Iraq's ICT cooperation with Egypt would further help ramp out the Iraqi communication and technology services.
Khadim conveyed Iraq Prime Minister's Mostafa al- Kazami greetings to Madbouli. He further underlined Kazami's instructions to the Iraqi government to establish strong partnership with the Egyptian side to benefit from the Egyptian expertise in the latest IT trends and advances.
