CAIRO – 31 May 2021: The Ministry of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, in cooperation with the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX), launched a campaign to educate Egyptians abroad how to invest in the Egyptian stock market and capital market, through its official pages on social networking sites.
The ministry clarified in a statement earlier this week that this campaign comes in implementation of the cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Immigration and the Egyptian Stock Exchange, which was signed by Nabila Makram Abdel Shaheed, Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, and Mohamed Farid, Chairman of the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The protocol aims to strengthen cooperation and coordinate efforts to raise the levels of knowledge of Egyptians abroad on the basics of investing in the stock exchange, to increase their investments in the Egyptian stock market, to integrate Egyptians abroad in order to benefit from the returns of economic development, and to encourage them to invest in their homeland, after the Ministry of Immigration received many inquiries from Egyptians abroad in the recent period on how to invest and trade in the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
Nabila Makram said that the awareness campaign that was launched on the ministry's pages aims to implement the protocol to inform Egyptians abroad about investing in the stock exchange, adding that Egyptians abroad will be introduced to the Egyptian capital market and electronic trading and how to start investing.
The minister indicated that this would open additional horizons for Egyptian investment abroad, which is investing in the Egyptian capital market to meet their needs.
The Minister of Immigration explained that the campaign includes a number of designs, whether infograph or video, to simplify information on how to invest in the Egyptian Stock Exchange, the necessary steps for listing companies on the stock exchange, special tips for investing in the stock market, benefiting from saving and investing in it, and special information about buying shares and the stock index.
