CAIRO – 5 July 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) saw a positive performance at the end of Thursday’s session, boosted by foreign traders’ purchases.
The benchmark index EGX 30 inched up 0.26 percent to close at 13,370 points.
The small and mid-cap index EGX70 increased 0.82 percent to end at 674 points.
The broader index EGX100 also leveled up 0.67 percent to register 1,546 points.
Market capital gained LE 4 billion ($224 million) and totaled LE 701 billion, up from LE 697 billion on Wednesday, garnering LE 7.4 billion on a weekly basis.
Local and Arab investors were net sellers with a total of LE 48 million and LE 84 million respectively, while foreign traders bought by LE 132 million.
Total turnover reached LE 975 million, up from LE 958 million on Wednesday.
