EGX ends on mixed note, benchmark flat

CAIRO – 5 July 2017: The benchmark index EGX 30 of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s session flat at 13,334 points.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 increased 0.59 percent to end at 668 points. The broader index EGX100 also added 0.62 percent to the level of 1,536 points.

Market capital gained LE 3 billion and totaled LE 697 billion, up from LE 694 billion on Tuesday.

The local and Arab investors were net buyers with a total of LE 18,437 ($1,031) and LE 1.5 million, respectively, while foreign traders sold by LE 1.5 million.

Total turnover reached LE 958 million, up from LE 722 million on Tuesday.
