CAIRO – 23 April 2021: The Egyptian government increased the fuel prices on Friday morning by 25 piasters, with keeping the prices of diesel and mazut.

Egypt's Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee (FAPC) said the per-liter prices of 80-octane, 92-octane, and 95-octane gasoline will be sold at LE 6.50, LE 7.75, and LE 8.75, respectively.

The new prices will be applicable starting from 10:00 A.M. (Cairo time) on Friday, as per the FAPC decision.

As for the mazut (heavy fuel oil) for factories, the per-ton price kept unchanged at EL 3,900, while the price of the gasoline remained untouched at 6.25 per liter.

In July 2019, Egypt announced applying the fifth and final tranche of fuel subsidies cut.
