Italy urges Haftar to opt for the political track

TRIPOLI - 27 Sep 2017: Italy has urged commander of the Libyan army Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar to choose the political track if he would like to present himself for the leadership of Libya.

The remark was made at a meeting of Italian Defense Minister Roberta Pinotti and Interior Minister Marco Minniti with Haftar in Rome on Tuesday, reported the Italian La Repubblica.
