CAIRO – 28 October 2024: Egypt's "Decent Life" initiative, a nationwide campaign aimed at improving the living conditions of underprivileged communities, has made significant strides in the village of Basouna, Sohag.
A comprehensive convoy of services, organized by the Decent Life Foundation and the National Alliance, recently reached the village, providing a wide range of healthcare, educational, and social services to over 5,000 residents.
The convoy offered essential services such as food distribution, issuing national ID cards for women, and addressing the financial burdens of indebted women. Additionally, medical services, including women's health, ENT care, and early diabetes detection, were provided in collaboration with Sohag University. Cultural activities, such as workshops and performances, were also organized to enrich the community.
Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Hadi, the Deputy Governor of Sohag, expressed his appreciation for the initiative and emphasized the government's commitment to improving the lives of its citizens. He highlighted the importance of listening to the needs of the community and addressing them accordingly.
Residents of Basouna expressed their gratitude for the services provided, thanking President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his attention to the needs of the most vulnerable. The "Decent Life" initiative has been instrumental in improving the quality of life for many Egyptians, demonstrating the government's commitment to social development and inclusivity.
