CAIRO - 9 May 2024: The presidential nation-wide developmental initiative "Haya Karima" has created a comprehensive boom in infrastructure and basic services in Egyptian villages, as well as improving the economic, social and cultural quality of life of citizens.
 
The initiative, which aims to raise the living standards of the citizens across countryside cities, has managed to create a positive change in the citizens' standards of living, by providing job opportunities that are compatible with the nature of the places in Egyptian villages and the culture of the people living there.
 
"Haya Karima" also included a diverse sector called “development projects” for target groups to empower them economically and provide them with sustainable job opportunities, including, for example: “interlock” production and manufacturing lines, centers for assembling and manufacturing dairy products, establishing workshops to teach girls hand crafts and sewing, and manual workshops for manufacturing Carpets and handmade kilims, centers for manufacturing palm products, workshops to teach wood products industries...etc.
 
In villages whose people are famous for fishing, for example, Haya Karima Initiative works to establish workshops to teach and manufacture fishing boats, and according to the nature of the place, the initiative aims to creates sustainable job opportunities and economic and social empowerment for rural people, especially the poor and most needy groups and irregular workers.
 
Haya Karima Initiative also provided job opportunities for rural people within their place of origin, which limits their migration to urban areas, thus relieving pressure on urban facilities and services, reducing traffic congestion and densities in schools and hospitals.
