Haya Karima, Nasser Social Bank sign cooperation protocol to strengthen social protection measures in Egypt

CAIRO – 5 January 2022: Haya Karima Foundation signed Wednesday a cooperation protocol with Nasser Social Bank, within the framework of the presidential initiative “Haya Karima” to develop the livelihoods of the Egyptian countryside.

The protocol comes in an effort to support the neediest groups and strengthen social protection measures, which includes empowering and creating job opportunities for citizens in the villages of Haya Karima Initiative.

This came in the presence of Aya Omar Al-Qamari - Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Haya Karima Foundation, and Muhammad Ashmawi - Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Nasser Social Bank.

This joint cooperation comes as Nasser Social Bank opens investment accounts in the names of orphaned children, in addition to empowering people with disabilities in the targeted villages through all means to reintegrate them into society.

The cooperation aims to make such individuals able to work and empower them economically, besides providing job opportunities.

The bank will also provide banking and social services to provide a decent life for citizens, especially the target groups.

The cooperation protocol also includes the formation of a joint database between the two parties to develop a work map to achieve the scope and objectives of the protocol through the work of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Haya Karima Foundation, Nasser Social Bank and Zakat committees.
