Dr. Mursi Saad El-Din, CBE, died in April at the age of 92. Egypt Today’s first and long-serving editor in chief was the first cultural attache ever posted to an Egyptian embassy and the first official presidential spokesman (for President Sadat). During his career Saad El-Din also served as secretary of the Egyptian Institute in London, was a columnist at Al-Ahram and head of the State Information Service.
