CAIRO – 11 March 2021: UAE newly-appointed ambassador in Cairo Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi asserted on Thursday that he has been directed by the UAE leadership to boost all aspects of cooperation with Egypt.
During his meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Shamsi stressed the importance of doubling UAE investments in Egypt in the upcoming period, especially that the investment climate in Egypt has become attractive now after the economic and structural reform programs were implemented by the Egyptian government.
Meanwhile, Madbouli wished Shamsi all success in his new post in Cairo.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Monday credentials of 15 new ambassadors.
He welcomed the newly appointed ambassadors of Thailand, Canada, Tunisia, the Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Jordan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Namibia, said presidential spokesman Bassam Radi.
He also welcomed the new ambassadors of Oman, Somalia, the UAE, Pakistan, Benin and Laos.
Sisi said Egypt is keen on boosting bilateral relations with all 15 countries in all fields.
