CAIRO – 15 February 2021: Egypt’s Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram launched on Monday an initiative to support humanitarian work in Africa.

Makram launched the initiative in the headquarters of Egypt’s political parties’ Youth Coordination Committee (YCC) to support the activities of development and environment activist Sara Al-Amin in Africa.

This came while Makram participated in a roundtable meeting with the committee, under the title: the role of civil society in advancing developing countries.

Makram urged the committee’s youth to help Al-Amin through participating in such humanitarian initiatives that she carried out in Africa.

Head of the National Council for Women Maya Morsy attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Al-Amin said the civil society is capable of reaching remote areas and primitive societies that the government cannot easily reach. She referred to Africa as a good example for that.

She hailed Egypt’s recent development efforts in Africa, especially in Somalia, through ensuring that some schools in the African country adopt Egyptian curricula.
