Egyptian president inspects mutual work between land reclamation, endowments authorities - The Presidency
CAIRO – 13 February 2021: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has inspected on Saturday the current status of organizing the work jointly implemented by the General Authority for Land Reclamation and Endowments Authority in terms of agricultural plots.
In a meeting attended by a number of ministers and Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Sisi ordered fostering the efforts made to apply new technologies in agriculture and expand implement the new irrigation system across the agricultural lands nationwide, the presidency said.
According to the presidency, the meeting discussed “all pillars of the national project for the horizontal agricultural expansion across Egypt,” especially in North and Central Sinai, El-Hamam, Toshka and western Minya.
Attending the meeting, Minister of Endowments Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa presented the ministry’s plans to provide continuous training programs for all imams and teachers in the International Awqaf Academy.
The minister also presented the ministry’s latest developments in the fields of authoring, translation and publishing. Gomaa also showcased the efforts made by the ministry to supply publications to the Islamic libraries abroad.
In this regard, Sisi urged developing training programs for imams and female preachers, in order to refine their communication skills, through providing postgraduate studies opportunities to members of the ministry, especially in the fields of sociology and psychology.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel-Aty, Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait, and Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Al-Sayed Al-Quseir.
